Raised on a farm north of Brownvale.

College: University of Alberta - General Arts

Raised on a mixed farm north of Brownvale, Alberta near Figure 8 Lake. Dad bought a thresh machine when everyone started buying combines. Worked horses as well as tractors.

Married for 40 years to the same woman. We have 11 children and 12 grandchildren.

Started driving trucks in Grande Cache, Alberta from the McIntyre Porcupine Coal Mine. Work with Kenworths and Hayes body jobs with 30 cord dump box grossing about 95,000 lbs coming down two mountains to the plant. Started there about 1972 hauling to the coal fired power plant with a 427 GM dump truck for MacDonald Transport from Grimshaw, Alberta.
